Fall 2008 Soccer Season

Clark Park Youth Soccer League (CPYSL), a program of Friends of Clark Park, provides soccer instruction and intramural games for children ages 5-11 on Saturdays each spring and fall at Clark Park. CPYSL emphasizes enjoying the game of soccer while learning soccer skills. Every child plays.
CPYSL Fall 2008 season is nine weeks. Players ages 5 through 8 take the field from 10:30 am until 12 noon; ages 9 through 11 from noon until 1:30 pm. Each 90-minute session includes both skills training and a game.

All CPYSL coaches are volunteers and many have completed a coach-training program through StarFinder Foundation or the Eastern Pa. Youth Soccer Association, of which CPYSL is a member.
Parents and other adults are invited to join CPYSL as a coach or assistant. Knowledge of soccer is helpful, but it is not required. Parents of children are also encouraged to become part of the administrative team for CPYSL - without new volunteers and parents, the program cannot continue. We don’t want to turn away children because there are not enough volunteer coaches. If you're interested in coaching or volunteering in any fashion, call email clarkparksoccer@yahoo.com now or leave a message at 215-552-8186.

For game cancellations, the FOCP voicemailbox recording for 215-552-8186 will be updated by 9 AM Saturday morning.

If you have any questions, the Youth Soccer League can be emailed at clarkparksoccer@yahoo.com.

Rates

There is no change in the fees for Fall 2008. The CPYSL fee for one season for one child is $15, yearly EPYSA dues of $7, plus FOCP membership dues (if not already a paid-up member of FOCP) of $20, for a total cost of $42. For the second child from the same household, add $5 CPYSL fee, $7 EPYSA dues and $5 additional FOCP dues, for a total cost of $59. The fee includes a league T-shirt and personalized participation trophy. Partial scholarships are available for those in need, for up to one-half the total of fees and dues, so one child can play for as little as $21.00, or two children from the same household for as little as $27.50.
