... is a non-profit corporation and volunteer organization founded in 1973 to help maintain and improve University City's largest public green space. 

Friends of Clark Park

  • Advises city officials on the park's needs
  • Works with the Department of Recreation to improve maintenance and plan physical improvements
  • Sponsors park events and programs to encourage use of the park and foster a sense of community
  • Organizes volunteer work days
  • Provides a conduit through which groups or individuals may donate trees or make other gifts
  • Educates the public about the park's history
  • Creates a forum for the park's constituents

Flea Markets

In 2008, the Uhuru Solidarity Movement will be running a monthly Flea Market from April to October. The scheduled dates are: April 12, May 3, June 14, July 12, August 9, September 6, October 11,. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Rain dates are usually the day after.)
